ABA Therapy at Home

ABA Therapy at Home

Providing therapy where it initially matters most, the home, and training caregivers on how to consistently implement strategies to achieve the quickest progress!  Although implementing a clinic with a day school program is a future goal of Beyond the Rainbow and the utilization of a hybrid model (e.g., 4 days clinic, 1 day home) could hold many benefits, here are some pros and cons if you are struggling to decide whether in-home services or going with a provider with a currently functional clinic is the best choice for you:

In-Home: *Provides more opportunities for modeling teaching strategies and coaching caregivers, generalizing skills across multiple people  *Enables therapy team to more thoroughly assess struggles families are facing in the home and address these issues in the environment caregivers are facing them  *Allows caregivers to learn about and be a part of ABA services while offering peace of mind to families who are nervous about leaving their child in a new environment without them

Clinic: *Provides more opportunities for working on play and social skills with peers, although children can also pick up on new undesirable behaviors from one another  *Great choice if family has limited toys and resources since a clinic can offer a wide array of toys and materials to expose children to and work on expanding their play repertoire and embed other goals into play  *All caregivers 18 and older work and are not available to be home during preferred therapy hours

Feel free to contact us if you’d like to discuss this in more detail to assist you in deciding which environment you feel is a best fit for your child.  Beyond the Rainbow can assist in recommending ABA providers with clinics.
